For Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, it’s business as usual. Doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers and chaplains continue seeing patients and caregivers, up to 1,000 a day across 23 counties in North and South Carolina. Our three hospice houses are operating. We are accepting new patients. Call us at 704.375.0100. We are taking extra precautions, such as masks, gowns and gloves. And we’ve invested in smartphone technology that allows us to conduct virtual visits. Your support of our not-for-profit organization helps us meet these financial challenges.
On behalf of everyone at Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, we hope you are sheltering in place. Wash your hands frequently. Show your love to one another by keeping your distance. For the latest on HPCCR’s response to COVID19, continue to visit us here at www.hpccr.org.
I invite you to join us in caring for the sick and dying in these unprecedented times. Your gift to our not-for-profit organization, whether a check or at www.hpccr.org/give, helps us cover the added cost of personal protection equipment for our staff and added technology to ensure communication for clients and caregivers.
For 40 years and counting, Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region has cared for the dying and seriously ill. The pandemic makes us more determined to make sure no one takes this journey alone. Thank you for what you do to bring our sacred mission to life.
Our staffers who reach out to clients and families have been deeply moved by how much our presence means to those whose journey has led them to HPCCR. As social worker Jessica Twaddle told me, “Our reassurance, our presence, makes a big impact.” Your gift makes that possible.
